The Florida Farms Development (FFD) has filed a $39 million lawsuit against Lee County under the Bert Harris Act. In 2013, the BoCC turned down FFD’s request for a limerock mine on their property, which is on Corkscrew Road adjacent to Flint Penn Strand, CREW, Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary and residential neighborhoods. read Phil Douglas' report here>>
So how did Estero's identity evolve, to a community with prosperity and a life style, that we all prosper from? From an amazing group of volunteers, who are extremely "CAREFUL" and rightly so. Tonight's planning meeting was another successful chapter for Estero, they parallel VisitEstero's mission statement, "Unity In The Community", and they did just that! Please attend "your" monthly ECPP meetings on the 3rd Monday of each month, and get involved. KUDOS, to each of those individuals, "WHO ARE LOOKING" after "YOU"!

They have several featured speakers this month. You’ll learn about the roles and responsibilities of the Estero Fire Rescue as well as the Estero Community Plan, which includes a vision for more walkable areas and mixed-use town centers. John Goodrich, ECCL Incorporation Committee Chair, informs residents of Estero, "The House Local and Federal Affairs Committee voted favorably for the Local Bill for a vote on incorporating Estero." We're on our way to Independence Day!!! Please take action on this matter. Success with getting a hospital in Estero strongly relies on the community, you, with taking a political stand with the Governor who appoints the ACHA Director.
