Rev. Tim Carson, has been pastor of EUM for the past 2 years, and is extremely well respected with his flock, that fill each of their 3 services. The 9:15 service was no exception, just about standing room only!
Their amazing worship team, had everyone on their feet, joining in with some powerful songs of praise, that rocked the house of God. Following praise and worship, was a message from a very loyal member, who has a heart for out reach programs. Her report of EUM's most recent "habittat for humanity project", offered hope for those who are in need, and emphasized the importance of reaching out to OUR community in need. The overhead visual of their project, impacted all, but her explanation of the sound of 50 hammers, simultaneously, brought the experience to life for everyone. Only requirement, "desire to want to help".
EUM has a very unique rhythm, a united congregation with a history of longevity. Pastor Carson's sermon, was powerful and heartfelt, his mission "to spread the gospel message" to the community". "It's not so much that the church has a mission, but that God's mission has a church". Pastor's Carson's remarked on the cultural changes from WWII vs. today, when folks were oriented to go to church, so we need to go to the community. We need to reach the people!!! and that is exactly what their plan is.
EUM, also has accommodates those who are hearing impaired, another kudos to the love EUM has for their congregation and the community. "Unity in The Community"..... a parallel "mission"...
