The 14th Annual Tea, the signature event for the Historical Society, was elegant, successful, informative, and FUN!! Beverly McNellis, organized the Societies Tea, with grace and elegance. The event had ample time to socialize, meet old and new friends, admire each others outfits, especially the "hats", and "awe" over the elegant table settings, which was one of the staples of the event.
Charles Dauray, Ceo of College of Life Foundation, generously supported the event. Mr. Dauray shared some opening remarks to the success of the Estero Historical Society, it's accomplishments and the rich heritage of Estero. "History gives us perspective of life, history is the soil societies stand on".
Guest Speaker Theresa Schoder, archaeologist delivered an impressive presentation on "Mound Key: Where the New and Old Worlds Collided. Elected Officials from Lee County, showed their support, including; Commissioner Pendergras and Commissioner Kiker.
