The Estero Council of Community Leaders (ECCL) membership voted for their 2014 Board of Directors at their January meeting. Mr. John Goodrich, a long time eccl member, has decided to step down, but not before Chairman Nick Batos, recognized Mr. Goodrich for his steadfast committment to the council and to the community of Estero. Mr. Goodrich has been a major player with the success' of Estero, and will continue his role of Chair for the incorporation committee. WE still need you John, A Great Leader!!!
Commissioner Richard Schwears, fire commissioner, advised the approx. 80 plus attendees, Estero Fire Department is celebrating their 50th year birthday this year, with their first set of festivities on February 1, at the 3 oaks Parkway Facility. There will continue to be festivities through out the year, posted on visitestero calendar. Keep your eyes posted.
Mr. Ray Blacksmith, with Cameratta Companies was the guest speaker, with an update to his two projects on Corkscrew Road, The Perserve at Corkscrew and Corkscrew Shores, just east of I-75 on Corkscrew Road. The Cameratta Companies, a Cleveland based 35 year young company, decided to expand to Florida 12 years ago. Their "Unity within the Community" appeal communities, has captured many new residents to our beautiful township, soon to be a municipality, a visitestero optimistic position.
