Dave Doan
A Michigan native and a Conservative most of my life my wife, youngest daughter and I moved to Estero in the spring of 2003 when I retired from DTE Energy where I was a maintenance foreman. Except for volunteering for the George Bush campaign in 2004, was never very politically active.
A few years ago that all changed. I saw the need to be involved and the results of not being involved.
My wife and I took a class on the Constitution and after the 3rd week decided we needed to be facilitating the class for others. Our Constitution and the people who drafted it along with those that ratified it are the reason the United States became the greatest nation in the world. The only way we can stay that way is to know and follow the Constitutional principles they left us. Since then I have been reading and studying the founding principles and trying to help others understand.
